Quick Mackerel Paté Recipe

If you are in a hurry it's good to know that you can make paté in a matter of minutes. Smoked mackerel fillets are used for this paté as well as soft cheese, onions, lemon and tabasco. Serve this paté with melba toast or crackers and perhaps some grapes or basil leaves for garnish.

Mackerel Pate Starter

Ingredients -

2 x 180g packs smoked mackerel fillets
200g soft cheese
Bunch spring onions, thinly sliced (keep a few to garnish)
Juice of ˝ lemon
Few drops tabasco sauce
Freshly ground black pepper

Preparation:

Flake the fish into a bowl and stir in everything else. Chill until required.

Serves 8
